Coin Envelope for Quotes from Shanna

Hello to all you amazing crafters out there.

Well I got this 1-2-3 Punch Board and thought I would have some fun. I played around trying to make envelopes until I figured it out (took me 3 tries). I decided then to make a envelope to go into my planner for quotes.

I had tons of fun just layering and inking the edges on the paper, keeping it simple, and clean.
I took scraps from the Junque Gypsy line and glued them down on the envelope base.

I added some glitter stickers from my sticker bin to give it the title of "quotes" and then finished on the envelope with brads and jute string. However I think here a magnetic closure or velcro could also work.

Next step is to write tons of quotes down and stick them in for next year so I can read a quote a day or a quote a week like a "Motivational" idea.

I so hope your inspired to create your on envelope for goodies!

Until next time thank you for stopping by and keep coming back for more inspiration!

A Little Bookmark by Irene Tan

Hi Marion Smith Designs fans! It's Irene here. Time really flies and we're on the countdown towards year 2016! When I thought of today's blog post, the first think that came to my mind is creating a resolution book. But I'm sure everyone is doing that at this time. Therefore, I think I want to create something a different. I want to create a little something that I will use for the year 2016 and it will remind me of one of my resolution.

With that, I've created a little bookmark which says "typewriter". This little bookmark will reminds me to document down my sweet, sour and bitter experiences in 2016.

This is just a little idea for you all and I'm going to create a few more to remind me throughout 2016. It will be a perfect little reminder for someone who loves to read or love keeping a planner.

Hope you all are inspired and Happy 2016!!!

Time To Fly Art Journal Page with Shanna

Hello all you lovelies. With Christmas getting closer, I decided to take a step back and just have fun and not think about Christmas.

Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas, the smell of pine trees, those cinnamon pinecones, the foggy chilly mornings and hot cocoa... I mean I can really go on.

But I haven't done an art journal yet with my Marion Smith Design papers so I thought why not play.

Here is my recent art journal spread. I started with spraying the background. Then I glued down my papers with a gel medium.  I even added some texture with gel medium using a stencil.

I then did a a coat of CLEAR gesso. I took my Iced Coffee gelato and went around the edges of one of my papers.  The outer edges got a green and blue gelato. Just use a baby wipe to blend the gelato around.

I used this ticket to stamp the date I created the art journal page.

I added some black splatter across the page as well. I finished it off with some Big Chat stickers.

I just had fun creating this and it was so simple and my fingers got to get a little messy. So I encourage you to add some of these fabulous papers to your journals.

Spot of Tea Box from Shanna

Hello all you awesome paper crafters!!! Shanna here today with a special box I made with my new 1-2-3 Punch Board!!!

Have you ever wanted to make a series of boxes for fun or for gifts? Well I got this new punch board and love it. I decided to create one using some kraft cardstock so I could use up some scraps of the paper "Spot of Tea".

I embellished the box with some flowers and lace from my stash.

I really think using a full sheet of Marion's papers would do awesome too!

The top of the box locks into place and it best used with stiff paper.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Mini book by Yasmin Tölche

Hello! It's Yasmin here on the MSD blog today and wow! it's december and I bet there where loads of little kids and big ones opening their advent calendars today.. I have made a little book I wanted to share with you today.

I used the cut out sheet from Marion Smiths "Posh" Collection and some of the most beautiful junque and gems.

I love the cut out sheet and I've fuzzy cut them out and glued them on to a piece of cardstock. I also glued them again onto some patterend paper from the Posh collection, so the front covers got really sturdy.

Aren't these junque and gems pretty?? They are so sparkely and pretty.. absolutly gorgeous. The big button is also a MSD product. The leaf is die-cutted out of a paper in the "Posh" collection.

Here are some of the products I've used:

Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my project today! See you a bit later in December :) Hugs Yasmin
