Mixed Media Card Using "Mad Tea Party"

Good Morning All!

Keri Sallee here and I am super excited to share with you today.

Here is a mixed media card I made:

To make this project I used these Marion Smith Products:

Clear Texture Stamp

Filigree Butterflies

"Mad Tea Party" Ephemera

Nirvana Stamp Set

Aqua Stamen

 "Junque & Gems" Rhinestones

I prepared a Snap Guide to take you step by step through this project.

Here are a few close-ups!

Viva Decor Inka Gold (Yellow Gold) through a Crafter's Workshop Stencil.

Marion's Texture stamp makes a great background!

The lace under the the fussy cut pieces makes for GREAT dimension.

Mixing Heidi Swapp Color Shine and Faber Castell Gelatos make a great water color background.

Butterflies, Doilies and Lace...doesn't get much more feminine than that!

I hope you enjoyed my project today!

Have an amazing and day and remember...make your art an intentional part of your day...not an after thought.

XOXO,
KERI

You Sparkle

Well hello there! I hope you are all having a wonderful January! Personally I feel like after Christmas, it can get warm again ;) Buuut that's not really the case here. So. One of the first papers that caught my eye in Marion's new line Garment District was a delicious minty green paper with this beautiful white dreamy pattern across it, and it just made me think of a wintery snowflake page immediately! I mixed it with some other papers I had on hand in my stash along with some cut out pieces also from the Garment District line and here's what I came up with;

That is my darling niece. She is just the sweetest thing and lights up room when she enters it! I did just a little layering and tucked in some snowflakes die cut out of white sparkly paper, sprinkled some Color Shine, and stenciled some gesso in a few spots just to give it some dimension.

Also something new that Marion has are these beautiful resin roses! I just love them! They also have gigantor ones coming soon too, so those will be fun to play with!

I hope you enjoyed my page today, I figured I'm stuck with a lot more Winter here so I might as well make it sparkly & pretty right?!  ;) Make sure you get your hands on some of this Garment District line before it's gone, it's so beautiful!

Have  a wonderful day!

Love, Sarah

P.S. I used these;

Peace!

Hey paper peeps! Tis the season for creating cards, and I have a simple yet elegant one for you today! It is non-traditional Christmas colors, but it could still pass for a Winter card as well!

I used these papers from Marion's new collections;

I layered them, and then added a die cut deer (Sizzix die), a die-cut frame with Seafoam Color Shine (Heidi Swapp), and ribbon with a button (Stampin Up!). I wish I had an easy tip for you for creating a card, but all I can tell you is what helps my creative card process and that is to layer layer layer!

Oh and use sparkly paper whenever possible, that helps make it look fancy schmancy lol!

Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful day!

Love, Sarah xoxo

"JOY" Christmas Tree Canvas

                                                            Happy Sunday morning to all!
                                      Peggy Lee here to share a little canvas home decor with you!
Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree is all I could sing while I was playing with Marion's new paper collection Mad Tea Party!! I had purchased some canvas panel boards to create Christmas gifts for my family and friends...I just love the look of handmade Christmas Trees on canvas, cards and tags. I knew I wanted to use the Mad Tea Party paper collection....which is not a Christmas theme paper but it's fun to take something that is not intended for and create a theme beauty...
                                                    "Joy" Christmas Tree-mixed media canvas
I also hand cut out the embellishments and added some glitter!
every tree needs a bunny with a top hat...
"Joy" chipboard letters where in my stash.
Use up your stash we all have plenty of scrapbook supplies
we can adorn with the new paper collections
by Marion Smith!
The embossed doily is Marion's new Stamp set.
I stamp and embossed it with glitter embossing powder.
Cut out and added to the tree.
Texture was created with different sprays,
stucco/gesso and brick mask.
also with Marion's stamp sets that coordinate with
the paper collections.

Thanks for stopping by today,
Hope your Holidays are Joyful!!
hugs,
Peggy Lee
