Mini book by Yasmin Tölche

Hello! It's Yasmin here on the MSD blog today and wow! it's december and I bet there where loads of little kids and big ones opening their advent calendars today.. I have made a little book I wanted to share with you today.

I used the cut out sheet from Marion Smiths "Posh" Collection and some of the most beautiful junque and gems.

I love the cut out sheet and I've fuzzy cut them out and glued them on to a piece of cardstock. I also glued them again onto some patterend paper from the Posh collection, so the front covers got really sturdy.

Aren't these junque and gems pretty?? They are so sparkely and pretty.. absolutly gorgeous. The big button is also a MSD product. The leaf is die-cutted out of a paper in the "Posh" collection.

Birthday Card by Yasmin Tölche

Hello everyone. It's Yasmin on the MSD-blog today and I have a birthday card to share with you. You can never get enough birthday cards can you? :)

I've used a cut-out from "Faux Pas" paper in the "Junque Gypsey" Collection from Marion Smith Designs and added a little pearl inside of the butterfly.

I love making layers on my cards, and adding a chipboard piece makes a bit of texture to the card aswell.

The little arrow charm with the heart is a lovely MSD embellishment. So cute!

Journey Bookmark by Irene Tan

Hello Marion Smith Designs fans! It's Irene here with you all today! This time, I want to share with you all a masculine bookmark which is perfect for a man who loves to read.

This is a very simple bookmark. The Timekeeper collection by Marion Smith Designs makes designing this bookmark super easy. I've just cut a few layers of pattern papers and stitched them together. I've also add a piece of acrylic on top of this bookmark for some protection.

Halloween Shadowbox by Yasmin Tölche

Hello all! It's getting closer and closer to Halloween and I've made a halloween decoration with the Marion Smith Designs "Wicked Times" Collection. I love it!

I have to say I do adore making these shadowboxes and gluing all sorts of nicknacks into them. This one was just so fun to make!

This is little shadowbox with trinkes ready to decorate my house. I've added papers for the "Wicked Times" collection to the background and glued loads of junque and gems to accent my piece. The sceleton is the coolest thing ever and are dangeling loosley in front of the box. The flowers are Marion Smith Designs and the small little brown bottle is also a junque and gems.

I can't say it enough the sceleton is just way cool. I've painted the whole box with black gesso, Then I added colorlab pigment into white gesso to make the orange and the purple paints. I covered the whole piece with crackle paint. I'm still unsure if that was the right move. What do you guys think.

Mini Shadowbox by Yasmin Tölche

Hello everyone! It's Yasmin on the blog today here at Marion Smith Designs and I have a mini Shadowbox to share with you. Sometimes I do love making these small altered projects. Even though they take as much time making a big one.

I've used papers on the back of the shadowbox from the junque gypsey line. I also cut out a butterfly wing and stuck it behind the cameo. The bottles are from MSD alon with the golden gem key in the front. Itsn't it beautiful? 

To add loads of texture I added pearls and microbeads to the flowers and compartments. I really like this type of texture. The bottles are perfecly small and lovely to add glassbeads, sand and embossing powder.

Hello everyone! It's Yasmin on the blog today and I have a sweet card to share with you. This card fits for loads of occassions since I didn't write any specifics on it.

I've used different papers from different collections on this.. It's kind of a "scrap-paper" card. You can find papers from the Junque Gypsy collection, Romance Novel II and Posh collection.

I seriously wanted to make a card with this large lush resin Rose that Marion Smith has designed. It's just so fantastic. I added a few other flowers and loads of pearls and microbeads.

This little bling heart is also a MSD embellishment. Isn't it the sweetest?

You & Me - Card by Yasmin Tölche

Hello everyone! It's Yasmin from the Creative Team on the blog today. I love playing around with papers and making cards from leftover paper from making bigger things like layouts. Today I  have a card to share.

I've played around with different collections. Marion Smith's collection goes very well together and there's no problem mixing them.

I've used the Romance Novel  2 Collection and loads from the Junque Gyspy collection. The papers are just so gorgeous and devine. I love the vintage feel.

The beautiful key is a junque and gem.. Also the small green gems are Marion Smith Designs Embellishments. I love putting details on my cards like the microbeads.car

Altered Bottle by Irene Tan

Hi Marion Smith fans! Today I'm going to share with you all a project which is a little different from my usual. This time, I'm sharing an altered bottle using tons of mixed media techniques and Marion Smith Designs Junque and Gems. 

Besides the amazing Colorlab paints, I've used some resin flowers, gems, glass and bezzel. I've also used some images from the Timekeeper and Junque Gypsy collection to add details to this bottle.

I've used a vintage image from the Junque Gypsy collection to insert into the glass and bezzel before adding it to the bottle.

The colorlab pigments add depth and hint of metallic effect on this bottle.

Celebrate Card with Yasmin Tölche

Hello all! It's Yasmin here today at the Marion Smith Designs blog and I have a card to share today.. well, it actually started out as a tag, but since I never can stay inside the "lines" I just converted it into a card.

I've used a bit from different collections on my card. Mainly I've used the "Junque Gypsey" collection, but you can also find some elements from the "Romance Novel 2" collection. :

I actually loved the way this turned out. I fuzzy cut a couple of pieces on this and added a little junque and gem ballon. Super cute! Do you enjoy fuzzy cutting? I love it!

A Junque Gypsy layout with Sandi Clarkson

Hello there, Marion Smith fans! I'm back today with my second post for the month featuring the oh-so-gorgeous Junque Gypsy collection in the 12x12 version with a subtitle tag from the 6x6 version. I've always loved anything that's a little Boho Chic, so when I stumbled upon this fab vintage photo, I couldn't wait to scrap it! I may have to even use it a couple of more times to satisfy the inner "Gypsy" in me! 

I love that paper tearing has become popular again because it gives an instant distressed look. I used a bit of super heavy gesso, a stencil and some mist to give my base paper some depth and texture. Then I framed the photo with a chipboard piece, some florals and a gorgeous Junque and Gems Aqua Button. When I sacrifice those babies, you know the layout is very special to me! It is super sparkly IRL. Amongst my floral cluster are some Time Keeper paper flowers and a piece of black netting from an old produce sack.
