Vintage Box by Ana Paula

 Hello, 

Ana Paula today bringing you another project!

 
This MDF box was decorated with beautiful products by Marion Smith

 
But ... It is not a simple box,
It will serve at a special purpose,

 
It will be part in the wedding  of a dear couple, 

friends of my family.

  At the ceremony will be deposited inside it 

small letters and good wishes of all guests...

 
...and in the one-year anniversary of marriage will be opened and read by the couple.

 
I loved it!

 

 

I made a box with a retro look ,

all lined with gorgeous paper  Documented byNirvana Collection

  and did a beautiful stylized heart  on top 

with vintage buttons and Junque & Gems by Marion Smith

Hello, Ana Paula bringing to you today an idea of ​​recycling for Easter!

 I have the habit of saving packages and boxes that can be turned into a beautiful gifts. 

This package used for gourmet popcorn 

was embellished and became a beautiful container for cookies,

 it will be given to a friend who does not like chocolates. 

To accompany an envelope containing tea bags for a special moment.

 Everything was done with beautiful papers, embellishments and metallic resin flowers Marion

Just Go & Sew

Hey paper peeps! So good to see you ;) & so glad to see March, phew! We made it! I am so ready to open the windows and let some fresh air in this house! I have a fun layout to share with you today, using the beautiful Garment District line. There are a lot of great sewing elements in this line, and as soon as I saw this adorable striped paper, I knew immediately what pics would totally match! (Isn't it funny how us scrappers think?!)
One day I went to a scrapbooking class, and my mom really wanted to go, but she's not a papercrafter, she's a sewer...as in quilter, not a stinky drain pipe... So I told her to just "Go and Sew!" There happened to be a comfy little chair right in the middle of the store, perfect for her to sew to her hearts content!

 

 

I cut a piece of the collaged paper and created a "homemade" tag out of it, I thought the scissors fit perfectly...

 

Threw in a few embellishments....

 

I am not really a fan of my handwriting per-say, but I love journaling on my layouts. I feel like I'm leaving a little piece of me behind ;) 

 

I was thinking about maybe hanging it in her sewing area? I hope she likes it!

Love Is All You Need

Hello there, Sarah reporting here! I have been busy playing with Valentine's Day cards, and I have one to share with you today! I have loved the color combo of pink & gray since I was little, so I really love the Garment District line! There are some really pretty gray elements that have pretty pink accents so those are the colors I used ;) I think it turned out pretty sharp with the contrast of the white!

 

I really love these colors especially because they're not traditional Valentines colors! Spice things up a little...

 

I used some of the Junque & Gems along with a few other tidbits I had on my desk!

 

I adore this little love snippet from the Mad Tea Party line! Cutest vintage font!

 

I hope I inspired you to create some Valentines! Or even just a card to let someone know you love them and are thinking about them ;) Thanks for hangin out today and have a beautiful day!

Embellishment Tutorial Part 2 by Tonya Gibbs

Hi everyone, I hope your weekend is off to a great start. A few weeks ago I shared with you a project on making wooden ticket embellishments that coordinate with your paper collections.  Today I want to share with you another idea for embellishing your projects.

 



 

 

Remember playing with Shrink plastic when you were kid?  I think I made charms in Vacation Bible School for 5 straight years (LOL).  Well here is a grown up project you can make using Marion's super awesome Curious Stamp Set.

I started with Poly Shrink Plastic by the Lucky Squirrel. You can use any brand just make sure it is clear if you want your roses to appear like glass. 

 

 

I used the rose & butterfly stamps from the from the Curios set. Stamp them using a permanent ink like Staz-on, or Archival Jet Black Ink from Ranger.

 

 

 

On the OPPOSITE side that you stamped, color the image with a permanent marker. Don't color on the side that you stamped or it will ruin your marker nib.  I used my Copic markers, but no need to worry about shading. The color becomes concentrated when they shrink, so the shading disappears.

 

 

Cut out your Shape.  Remove all negative space, but make sure you keep a thick border in the delicate stem area.   Here is what my Rose looks like when I cut it out. Notice that I colored outside the lines and made my stems a bit thicker.

 

 

Now grab a pair of tweezers, a heat source and start shrinking.  (The plastic will curl as it shrinks, but no worries, keep shrinking it will straighten out). 

 

 

The image shrinks to a 1/3 of the original size.  Once the image is cool enough to touch, I molded the leaves to give them some interest.

 

  

 

Use Glossy Accents or E6000 to adhere the charms to your projects. 

 

 

To show you how beautiful they are on a project,  I created this layout of my amazing parents using Marion's Garment District collection.  I love how tiny the butterflies turned out, and think the roses appear like glass and offer a nice touch of elegance to the layout.

little wings for the doll dressed up in her pretty dress.

The new Garment District papers have some amazing embellishments

you can cut right from the paper...add some vintage lace, trims and 

Junque Gems! You can use these little ATC cards on layouts,

cards or just laying around for eye candy!!

Altered box

Good morning everybody,

Today I want to share my latest project with you,

which is a shabby Altered Box for Marion Smith Designs.

It's always a lot of fun when you see 

how ordinary things change in to something special and beautiful.

I enjoyed this adventure very much

because everything I picked for this project

matched perfectly from the start.

 

For the outside I used this Mad Tea Party sheet:

Do not forget do add a lot of gesso or acrylic white paint 

for a more shabby look.

Beauty Call

Hey paper peeps! Hope you are doing well! Today I would like to share a simple and fun card with you, using Marion Smith's Garment District line and some Junque & Gems! I really love layering and there is a sheet called "Picture Perfect" that has all of these great elements to cut apart, not to mention beeee-utiful colors! I am in love with this minty aqua color! So here's what I came up with;

 

I just kind of placed my layers in a staggered position and added a die-cut doily, and it turned out super cute and took me only a few minutes! The pink rose that is fussy cut on the right side is from the Mad Tea Party Collection.

 

I am loving these Junque & Gems pieces! They are so fun and there are quite a variety of them to keep your creations interesting!

 

This minty blingy one is my fave, it is so sparkly I just love it.

 

This would be a super fast and easy card if you were in a pinch! Plus the colors are pure candy ;)
