Cute As A Button Layout by Shanna

Hello to all you lovelies out there. Shanna here with a layout. I just love this photo and thought it went great with these Tea Party papers.

I love the layers of papers I added along with some flowers and a doily. I did add some gold sparkle to the background for some extra shine.

I added a chipboard title that was painted with black paint.

I really love the tag I cut out from one of the cut out sheets  (sorry I don't remember which one though).

I also added some cardboard under the photo for a little dimension.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Make sure you keep coming back for more inspiration!

Good morning, everybody!

It can be used as a pretty gift for Mother´s day.
It is a wooden box ( MDF)
that I covered with the beautiful papers
from the Mad Tea Party Collection by Marion Smith Designs.

In the edge of the box I painted using patina techniques
and a crackle paint on the paper giving a classic
and old touch to the project and featuring the vintage line from this brand.

Cookies & tea by Ana Paula

I have the habit of saving packages and boxes that can be turned into a beautiful gifts.

This package used for gourmet popcorn
was embellished and became a beautiful container for cookies,
it will be given to a friend who does not like chocolates.

To accompany an envelope containing tea bags for a special moment.

Everything was done with beautiful papers, embellishments and metallic resin flowers Marion

Happy Easter !

Sweet - A Layout Using Mad Tea Party by Kim Price

I just cannot get enough of the Mad Tea Party collection. I love everything about it from the colours, the patterned papers and the gorgeous matching elements. Today I want to share another project I've created with this line featuring a too sweet photograph of my little friend who follows me everywhere at home - my gorgeous silver Burmese, Anika. I just adore this photograph taken of her when she was just a wee babe and it looks wonderful tucked in amongst the gorgeous pinks and aqua tones of Mad Tea Party.

I've used similar techniques to my previous post A Steampunk Style Christmas Layout, creating a distressed layered border using various papers from Mad Tea Party, tucking in my photographs, a few elements from the patterned papers, flowers and some antiqued lace.

I'm just loving the gorgeous vintage style red armchair image - so I've added that tucked in behind a few flowers. Anika loves nothing better than curling up into a ball on a soft comfy chair so this is the perfect touch!

On this section of layout I've used some clock face images to create a layered effect and the finishing touch are those two sweet little butterflies hovering above.

Mad Tea Party Curious Stamp Set by Kim Price

Hi guys! Today I want to share a card I created using the gorgeous rose image from the Mad Tea Party Curious Stamp Set. I just LOVE this image and it's so much fun to color! I've used Copic markers in my sample, but this rose looks fantastic colored using all kinds of mediums - watercolors, water markers, Gelatos, acrylic paint, Distress Inks - any of these would work equally as well.

I started out by stamping four of the rose images onto Copic compatible cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Dye Ink. I've used the dye ink for my stamped images as it is compatible with my Copic Markers, meaning it won't run and reactivate causing a mess with the markers. Next I chose my colors, coordinating these with the colors used in Mad Tea Party by picking a few of my favourite patterned papers then matching my copic colors from there. This ensures you get the perfect palette to work with!

Now the fun part begins! I colored all my rose images using lighter shades on the outer edges of my rose petals and blending the darker shades towards the centers of each petal. Each petal was blended separately to ensure a smooth blend, using the lighter shades on the outside petals and darker shades towards the center. The flower center was colored using yellow/amber shades then I've adhered clear microbeads for some added texture. I also blended the leaves in green shades.

After all the shading was complete I fussy cut around each flower starting with my base as the largest piece, the top petals were trimmed from the center piece and the third layer is just the front few petals. For the fourth layer I have just used the center bud of the flower along with the petal right at the very front of the flower. Each of these layers has been pieced together using dimensional dots for a realistic 3-D effect. The end result is simply stunning - an amazing handcrafted dimensional rose to add to a special project. I have placed mine on a card but this would look equally as stunning on any papercraft project you had in mind.
