Hi everyone! I have some fun ATCs to share with you all today. I've created this girl and boy ATCs using the beautiful Nirvana collection.

Here are a closer look on these ATCs.

To create an interesting effect, I've used acrylic ATCs as the base. Gotta love the dimensional and floating effect

I've added different elements and textures on these ATCs. And for more details, I've used the Curios and Flying High stamp sets.

"Fly Through the Air" Art Journaling featuring "Mad Tea Party"

Hello All!

Keri here.

Today, I am sharing with a piece i revolt did in my art journal. It's a little reminder to myself to let go and be free...just like a bubble.

To make my background, I first adhered a sheet of watercolor paper to my journal page. This keeps the page from warping when I add my paints and matte gel medium.

I then convered that with a piece of the "Tea Party" paper from the "Mad Tea Party" collection.

I had some paper doilies from Wilton's that looked very similar to the background lace in the paper, so I added those on top.

Next, to make an antique gold color, I mixed together Liquitex Basics Acrylic paint in Gold and Burnt Umber. Using a stiff brush, I dry brushed the edges and some in the middle of the page.

I used this page for a little face drawing practice. Used a Black Scribe-All pencil and clear gesso for the base.

Later, I added color using craft acrylic paint.

TIP: if you don't feel comfortable drawing your own picture...look online for face outlines or images. You can easily find an image you like that you can just fill in!

To finish my page, I cut circles from the " Wonderland", "Tea Party", "Alice" and "cut and Create" papers from the "Mad Yea Party" collection. I laid them out so they looked like they were floating up. I used my antique gold mixture to edge them and added a few pieces of "Junque & Gems" rhinestones for added depth and sparkle.

I finished by cutting strips from the "Tea Party" paper (striped side) to use as journaling strips for my words: Fly through the air, just like a bubble, above the crowds and above your troubles."

Here's a couple of closeups!

I hope you have enjoyed my Art Journal page today.

Until next time....

Keri

Christmas Greetings Card by Yasmin Tölche

Hello Everyone.. It's Yasmin on the blog today and I have a Christmas card to share with you.. Oh yes.. Christmas will come knocking on our door faster than we want it to and it's about time to get those christmas cards going!

Even though Marion Smith Designs do not have their own christmas line, there are papers that can be converted into christmas papers from those other beautiful collections.

I've used papers from the Nirvana and the Mad Tea Party Collection. :) I've decorated with some of the new gems, die-cuts from different producers and flowers.

This is a folding card, and it's super easy to make! Just cut a 12x12" paper in half and score the 6x12" paper at 4" and 8", and fold them together! Easy Peasy.. :)

The heart stamp is a Marion Smith Designs stamps and it's perfect since you can put the text you want inside. Witch MSD papers would you use as christmas papers?

Thanks for stopping by us today and I hope you enjoyed my card! :)

My Boy is POSH by Jelissa

Hello friends!

It's my turn today on the Marion Smith blog and I'm excited to be showing you a project I've created with the new Posh collection, together with some older paper lines as well.

Here's the layout I've created:

I've mixed the old and new here: Posh together with a bit of Nirvana and Garment District and I love how the papers match up.

Some closeups:

A little cluster I created with a cut-out from Garment District, Junque and Gems resin flower, a metal gear and jeweled key.

My floral cluster with some Prima roses and also more Junque and Gems goodies - a silver metal gear which I primed with gesso and painted with my (you guessed it...) beloved Pearl Gold paint.

That's all I have for today. Do drop by the Marion Smith Designs blog for more inspiration from the wonderful DT!
