Sweet Gift Box

Are you a Handmade Gift Giver?  I hope so and I hope this project will inspire you to make More Gifts!!  I wanted to make a special little album and box as a gift for my mom, so I used the Scarlet collection to decorate a little metal lunchbox.
I started out with a small metal lunchbox I bought at Michaels measuring  5 1/2 X 4 1/2 tall.  I spray painted it with flat black paint inside and out.
I cut the Scarlet black damask paper to fit on both sides of the box, rounded the corners,  and adhered it with Mod Podge after the black paint was dry. rounders to

The sides are covered with a muslin washi tape that has black stitching.
After adding some layers of paper elements, I brushed on some white paint and used stencils to create some patterns and textures.
This is the other side, decorated with clocks, butterflies and some glittery roses.  I also used some pink floral leaves and a wooden ticket from Prima.  Stickles Icicle glitter is brushed on some places for Cute Sparkle!

I made a little mini album to fit inside the box.

I took Manilla tags that measure 2 3/4 X 5 1/4 inches.  I also cut out some more the same size using the Scarlet papers.  These little tags make the album to house photos and places to write a message to the birthday girl!
It was fun to decorate these tags with all the little elements from this collection

I left room to write notes to my mom on the back sides of the tags

Here's the final product bound together with a book ring.  Add your own special touches and create a lovely gift.

This was a very fun project and YOU can get the awesome Scarlet Printables on Marion's website!!! Hope you will make one for the next gift you need!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!  Have a lovely weekend!
