Gift Tags, Anyone?

Hello to you this wonderful December day!  Even though it is the Holiday Season, I am sharing today a little project I just made for a friend's birthday!  I needed to make a little Gift Card holder and make it very sweet and special, so the Mad Tea Party Papers made this very easy!   If you want to change this up to make them for the holidays, it would be very easy!! Little elements and some glitter make this a fun card holder!

I started by cutting out a large tag sized 3" wide by 5 1/4" tall.  I used my Cricut, but you can also do this with a Silhouette.  The bottom pocket of the tag was made from a label that was cut in half.  First, I stitched on  2 layers of lace to the top edge of the label.  Then I stitched it on the sides and bottom to make it a place to stick my gift card.   I cut a little doily out of the green stripe paper and added it on the very bottom edge.
The Kraft shipping tag is the background for the additional tag I tied on up at the top.  I used another of the labels from the paper collection and stitched it on top of the tag.  This paper collection has so many darling little elements that can be cut out to add cuteness to any project!
The clock and the To/From were stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink From Stampin' UP.  I stamped the clock on a manilla tag and cut it out.  I love how it shines by adding Diamond Stickles by Ranger.

This is the little rose shape I hand cut to create my little rose.  (sorry for the messy work-mat!!!)   I use a roller tool to roll from the outer edge in.
This is how it looks all rolled up.  When I let go- the rose is perfectly shaped and I add hot glue to the center to hold it all together.  It looks so cute with a little glitter on the petals!
To finish out this gift card holder, I tied a ribbon thru the top hole and tied on my kraft tag on the right hand side.  A little more glitter on the Heart and I have a cute little gift card tag.
Happy Creating!!
